I'm so honored that I get to help with such an amazing fundraiser for the Salt Lake Inclusion Center. This beautiful day is a celebration to the wonderful work being done in our community to help end prejudice, discrimination, and bigotry. It is a 1950's themed Humanitarian Awards Social. You can mix and mingle while enjoying heavy appetizers from Urban Pioneer Foods and bid on the many unique items at the silent auction.
Las Vegas' best Elvis will be making appearance along with, myself, Miss Autorama 2016, and the beautiful Beehive Betties. As women working hard to bring each other together in the community, we feel passionate about groups like these. The Inclusion Center develops inclusive solutions to promote respect for all people through conflict resolution, education, advocacy and empowerment. |
Whether it's intentional or not, most of us have felt the impact of discrimination in our lives and are aware of the effects it has on our community. Moreover, each of us harbors individual biases. If we allow them to go unchecked, it's easy to create systems that grant access to select members of our community and deny it to others. The Inclusion Center assists individuals with crucial leadership concepts such as cultural competency, understanding oppression, prejudice reduction, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
Tickets begin at $100, or if you donate as basket that is a $100 value that will also grant entry! Perfectly Pinup Accessories will be donating different themed items, some retro, spring or holiday inspired. Please mark you calendars and join us for a truly wonderful night! And remember, all proceeds will go to the Inclusion Center.
