Last month I won second place in a Pinup Contest, which meant I got a to do a photo shoot with HB1photography. The photographer is originally from Germany but moved to the States in 2003, and she is amazing! I decided I wanted to do an authentic forties inspired shoot so we went out to the Hill Air Force Museum, where there was also a car show. |
We got there just after 9 o'clock to get the best lighting with the vintage planes. It was a bit chilly but as we started working we could definitely feel the temperature warm up.
We even got the chance to work with some amazing army jeeps in company with the planes, really giving it that authentic look.
This event was raising money and canned goods to help military families in need, there was great music, beautiful cars, and a Chili making contest. It was a beautiful day, but at about 3 o'clock, even though we were done taking beautiful photos and meeting wonderful people we headed on up to the Harvest Moon Festival in Ogden on Historic 25th street. |
They specialize in vintage reproduction clothing from the top named brands in the Pinup and Rockabilly industry.A lot of their inventory is made here in the States and only offered at Endless Indulgence in Ogden Utah to "try and buy" They certainly aim to please with customer service.
The owners, Richard and Carrie strive to make sure you walk out confident in your new clothing. I've needed to invest some shape wear for some time. I was interested in a wiggle dress and Carrie got me sized up for the amazing open bottom girdle. She really knows her stuff, from figuring out what will look best on you based on your complexion, hair color and body type to the history of just about everything in the store! Her husband Richard helped us to understand how Cuban lined stockings were made and why they were made that way. I'm very excited to be fitted for mine here soon!
We were already in the area for my photo shoot and decided to head on over for the Harvest Moon Festival. The Harvest Moon Celebration is an annual farewell to summer event on Historic 25th Street. Presented by America First Credit Union, Harvest Moon is a tribute to supporting local first. The day is made up of live music, entertainment, arm wrestling, pumpkin decorating and more than twenty children’s activities with support from Weber County RAMP, local nonprofits and on-street businesses. |
We stayed to watch the Endless Indulgence Fashion Show, with 13 of the most beautiful ladies in Utah! It was so much fun to watch them enjoying themselves and killing in the gorgeous Pinup Girl Clothing.
After the fashion show I picked up my new outfit including the Deadly Dames skirt, that is in the image above. It is green with all of the best Halloween characters! But I will we wearing it year round. We finished up the night with a family dinner before coming back home after a long 12 hour day. We were so exhausted but I'm looking forward to working with HB1photgraphy again and more trips to Endless Indulgence for sure.
